Appliance Installation & PAT
Do you require a new oven or hob? A like for like swap is not always an option and often the electrical circuit supplying an appliance will need to be altered to accommodate the new oven or hob. Not all oven and hobs are built the same and the Killer Watt (Kw) rating can vary, that’s why its always a good idea to get a qualified electrician to take a look.
A PAT test is required under ‘The Health and Safety at Work Act’ HMO Landlords and Employers are required to keep the appliances safe on their premises. PAT test stands for Portable Appliance Test so anything that is on a plug top or can be moved around will need to be tested. A visual inspection is done followed by an earth test to ensure the appliance is safe to be used.
